An instant heirloom!  Meticulously hand-woven in a rainbow of colours against a bronze background using doubleweave technique on our table loom.  Doubleweave is a kind of woven textile in which two sets of warp (or lengthwise) fibers and two sets of weft (or crosswise) fibers are interconnected to form a two-layered cloth.  The movement of threads between the layers allows complex patterns and surface textures to be created, as in this shawl with its beautiful coloured windows.  Each window across a given row has a slightly different colour, due to the interplay of the horizontal and vertical colour bands in the weft and warp. 

This shawl measures approximately 23.5" x 72.5", and is finished with a twisted tassel fringe.  Worked in 100% lyocell, or tencel.  Hand wash and dry flat.
